Discovery Endeavour PTA Accomplishments for the 2007 - 2008 School Year

We wish to thank all of those who became PTA members, made donations, purchased fundraising merchandise and supported the activities of all the committees.  Our PTA has been able to make directed grants to the schools of over $35,000.00.

Scholastic Book Fairs generated over $10,000.00 worth of Scholastic Books and education materials for the libraries and teachers at the schools.  Thanks to all who have purchased their reading materials at the book fairs and for books donated to the classroom libraries.

 

The PTA General Membership has voted to set aside $4,000.00 to be used to put in a new 'Big Toy' at the edge of the Endeavour Playground black top.  Plans are underway of the design and implementation of the Peaceful Playground and new playground equipment.

 

The PTA supported Field Trips, Assemblies, Chaperones for Camp Seymour, Read and Lead Programs, Family Fun Nights, Watch DOGS, 5th Grade Party, Field Day and a lot more.

 

Total of the directed grants and programs support is well over $38,500.00 and is only possible because of the generous support from all the families in our communities.  Thank you all for your support and we hope we can continue to support the schools in the next year as we look forward to a year of budget cuts.
