POSITION: Speech/Language Pathologist
Essential Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or equivalent in Speech/Language pathology and possess, or be eligible for ESA certification as an SLP in Washington State
- Demonstrated successful experience in assessment and provision of direct service in a school setting
- Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with staff, parents, students, and community agencies
- Demonstrated knowledge of special education regulations, policies, and procedures
- Knowledge and experience using computer-based documentation systems
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide consultation services to school personnel and families
- Conduct assessments as part of evaluation teams for students with special needs.
- Develop and implement therapy programs for eligible students
- Maintain, interpret, and report ongoing student progress data, records, and reports
- Participate in regular IEP and evaluation team meetings
- Provide individual, group, and classroom interventions in speech and language
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:
- Current fingerprints on file with OSPI with results satisfactory to the district
- Sexual Misconduct Disclosure process completed with results satisfactory to the district
