POSITION:     Speech/Language Pathologist

 

Essential Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Speech/Language pathology and possess, or be eligible for ESA certification as an SLP in Washington State
  • Demonstrated successful experience in assessment and provision of direct service in a school setting
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with staff, parents, students, and community agencies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of special education regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Knowledge and experience using computer-based documentation systems

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide consultation services to school personnel and families
  • Conduct assessments as part of evaluation teams for students with special needs.
  • Develop and implement therapy programs for eligible students
  • Maintain, interpret, and report ongoing student progress data, records, and reports
  • Participate in regular IEP and evaluation team meetings
  • Provide individual, group, and classroom interventions in speech and language

 

OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:

  • Current fingerprints on file with OSPI with results satisfactory to the district
  • Sexual Misconduct Disclosure process completed with results satisfactory to the district
