Author Barry Schieber and his Bernese mountain dog, Moritz, visited Hedden on April 2nd. They spent their day
reading their latest book, answering questions from students, autographing books and visiting various classrooms.
The two companions met each other in Switzerland where Mr. Schieber found himself needing emergency surgery. The book, A Gift to Share, tells this heartwarming story. Since that first meeting two more books have been written - Nose to Nose, A Memoir of Healing and An Open Heart, a Story About Moritz.
Mortiz enjoys acting as a pet therapy dog to many patients each week at Missoula's Community Medical Centre.
