On Thursday, November 10 the Hedden family honored our country's veterans with a fabulous and moving assembly.

      Mrs. Lewis, directed the Hedden choir in several wonderful musical numbers as fifth grade students told the story of our country's veterans. Fifth grader, Sun Chang accompanied them on the piano.

      Several members of the Hedden drumming ensemble also performed, under the direction of Mr. Wheeler.

     One of the most moving moments came when Mrs. Ayers and Mrs. Grubiak read several tributes written by Hedden students.  Click here to read them!  All Hedden students have been leaving written statements to veterans in a basket on a special table in our library.  The table was designed from the book, "America's White Table;" a moving tribute to a special way families are honoring veterans throughout the country.

      Our assembly ended with the playing of taps by Hedden teacher, Mr. Brown.
