Lauren
Butler Thomas was honored as 'Parent of the Year' at the 20th Washington
State Indian Education Association banquet held at the Quinault
Beach Resort on April 8th.
Lauren
has been active in Fife School District's Indian Education
Program for the past 12 years. She is instrumental
in the success of the annual SLMS Pow Wow held the first
Friday in March.
Lauren
has three children in Fife Schools: Joseph (lst at Discovery),
Amenda (9th at CJH) and Lydia (a senior at FHS).
Lauren
has been a great support to Fife's Indian Education Program,
serving in several offices of the executive committee.
