Teachers Recognized for Excellence

Surprise
Lake Middle School teachers Marette Dierck and Anton Jackson were
recognized at October's school board meeting for their excellence
and service to education.
Marette Dierck was recognized by the Flippen Group as the "Outstanding
Leadership Teacher for the first semester of 2004". She was
selected and recognized in representing the other 1,000 Teen Leadership
teachers in the USA, Great Britain, France and Australia.
Mr. Jackson
was recognized by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction
for his contributions to Mathematics Education. Anton served
on a number of committees related to the WASL including writing
mathematics items, range finding, item scoring, released item
presentation, and content review.
