Fife Public Schools is being recognized for the outstanding accomplishments made in continuing to excel as a "cutting edge" leader in student focused school reform efforts. The Video Journal of Education will feature Fife Public Schools and their students, teachers and administration. The videotapes will be implemented in thousands of classrooms across the United States and Canada and will focus upon "Working on the Work" in five school districts around the nation. They will include districts in Los Angeles, California, Cleveland, Ohio, Forsyth, Georgia and Fife, Washington.

The Video Journal of Education is a series of professional development videotapes used by educators

throughout the United States, Canada and other parts of the world. It brings schools and school districts the latest in educational research and methods to improve the quality of schools and to help all students achieve success. Among those included in the filming were Mr. Snider's Anatomy & Physiology class at Fife High School, Mr. Dodge's math class at Columbia Junior High, and Ms. Smith's 3rd grade class at Hedden Elementary School.
