Analysis of the Poem “Rime of the Ancient Mariner.” - AP Literature and Composition, FHS

The AP Literature and Composition class (taught by Sandy Cato) read and analyzed the Samuel Taylor Coleridge poem “Rime of the Ancient Mariner.”  To reflect their learning students chose the 8 most significant events or quotes from each of the seven parts of the poem to illustrate in a comic book.  Along with the color illustration, each panel had to include a quote from the poem and some analysis of the action.  At the end of the poem student collected all of the pages to be submitted as a comic book of the entire poem.  Student were assessed on their ability to choose important quotes, convey the action of the narrative poem and the analysis of why that action was important.
