Key Concepts for Learning:

Students learned and practiced the skills of inferring and analysis. They used these skills to write a Character Analysis.

Lesson Design:

Students read the novel, Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry and wrote an analysis on a major character within the story. Then, they pretended the novel was soon to be produced as a major motion picture and they designed movie posters to promote its upcoming release.
