Core Reading

On Monday, December 1, we will once again work in our Core Reading groups to finish the novel Roll of Thunder, Hear My Cry. This will allow for more time so that we can finish this novel and introduce some reading fix-up strategies.
For our core reading classes we have been working on tracking their comprehension using their "blue comprehension monitoring sheet" that contains 10 ideas.
Parents Can Help - Parents are encouraged to look over student written responses, to ensure that your child has restated the question into their answer, that the response is written clearly, and has used facts from the text to answer the question. Please click this link to see an example.
