Objective: You will explore Ancient Egypt through artifacts, places, people, topics, and other ways.

Goal: To learn about five items from the Eternal Egypt website, copy each image into Word, write a two to three sentence description of image in your own words, and make connections among at least three items.

Task:

  1. Choose five of the eight icon links on the Eternal Egypt home page to explore more deeply.
  2. Going into one link at a time, choose one subject that looks interesting.
  3. Read about it and think about why it was important to ancient Egyptians.
  4. Copy and paste the picture of the image you explored into Word.
  5. Save your file in your documents folder and call it “Egypt exploration”.
  6. Write a description of the image next to it (2 – 3 sentences minimum.)
  7. Repeat steps 2 through 6 until you have gone into at least five of the eight icon links.
  8. When you have your five images described in Word, write a short story that could connect at least three artifacts to each other.

When you have finished the above task, you may notify Mrs. Butler that your file is ready for review by raising your hand. You will then be free to explore the rest of the website on your own.
