Typical Day in SLMS Physical Education
Physical Education classes last 47 minutes in length. Students are given time to dress down as well as to put their school clothes on following the day’s activities. In addition, every day student’s will do a series of stretches and warm-up exercises to loosen muscles and build fitness levels. This exercise period will last approximately 15 minutes and then students will transition into the activity for the day.

In addition, students will be tested on a variety of elements of fitness including:
- The Mile Run (cardiovascular endurance)
- The Plank (core strength)
- The Iron Cross (shoulder/deltoid strength)
- Crunches (stomach/abdominal strength)
